I was with a company called HSBC. In 2006 they sold our company to HFC. I had fell behind do to husband being laid off. Then when he exhausted all his benefits they had just started a government program called Restoring Stability. We qualified for them they bring loan current then pay a partial payment you pay the difference up to twenty five thousand dollars. I fyou sell your home you repay the loan if you stay in the home for 5 yrs the loan is forgiven. My payment is 573.66 that is with taxes included. Now they say the payment is 903.66 but cannot explain why. I have been on the phone for hours today to be put on hold, transferred and also disconnected. They said that I do not qualify for a loan modification. Even though HUD counselor was telling them my income is 51.00 in deficit. They proceeded to tell her that by my gross income I could pay the 903.00 a month. I guess I am supposed to not pay any other bills. They have tried telling me that Restoring Stabilty did not bring me current yet every month my invoice was current. They said some of the money was put at the end of the loan. why? I am now facing foreclosure and do not know what to do. I can afford my regular payments but not the 903.26. The government needs to step in and help all of us that are having problems with this company.
