So as the title stated, I have a problem with Hits Ny LLC. Since my parents are not the best at english, I, the daughter of the family, am the one who is typing this. I had asked my parents to sign me up for Hits NY's full summer program which would give dance, singing, and language classes. The program was going to be an intense program where the trainees would be on a strict schedule and I was lured by that idea since 6 weeks of intense training would certainly improve my skills.
Now this is where I get to the problem. The program costed 7,500 which I pleaded my parents to pay for as it was something I really wanted to do. [continued below]....
..... Though my family is not rich, it was because I had gotten a full-scholarship to my college that my parents were willing to pay. We went to the Pearl Studios and met with the Marketing Coordinator, Lois Chun, and after seeing the trainees that were already there and talking with Ms.Chun, my parents gave her a check and money orders which totaled to 7,500. Afterwards, my mom was contacted by the bank a few times saying that the check was being deposited to a weird account and not to the company account. Ms.Chun then contacted saying that she misplaced her company card for the company account and therefore, the money was being deposited to the manager's account. Believing her, we allowed the check to go through.
The program was to start on July 13. However, after having packed all my stuff and was ready on July 5 waiting for the 13 to come, Ms.Chun, called on July 11 saying that the program was canceled due to the lack of funds. This shocked me because all the e-mails that I had gotten prior all made it seem as if there were no problems and the program was set to happen and not only that, I was informed two days before the start of the program itself that the program was a no go. She promised that all trainees would get their refunds and in addition, free tickets to the 2ne1 concert that was to happen on August 17 which she had said the company was asked to host. I later received an e-mail on July 16 which said " To all the parents and trainees,Once again I cannot apologize enough for the cancellation of this year's summer camp. Again, we didn't have enough students for the full time portion and I was unable to convince the staff in Korea to participate for 2 weeks. After speaking with banks and locations of where the deposits have been, if you could please give us 10 business weeks which is 2 weeks. So by the end of July all amounts will be returned or arranged for pick. All amounts will be prepared in cashier's checks so they are certified funds. Thank you for your patience, once again I cannot apologize enough for all of this." After getting this e-mail, my parents and I waited for two weeks before contacting her again. When we did contact her, she said she was still talking with the bank for the money back. Up until today, I have still yet to receive the money back and every time I call her, she either makes an excuse like the hotel, Gansevoort Hotel, that we were suppose to stay in would not give her the money back and other places that she had deposits in. Other times, she would say that she was busy and would call back but never does. I want to know what is going on and get my money back. I'm writing this report to back Mary Cicitta's report. Please help my family get back our hard earned money. Thank you.
