We have owned our home for 30 years now and never missed a payment until AHMSI took over the mortgage from Taylor,Bean and Whitaker and then lost a payment which they told us about one year later and held us responsible.I got hurt on the job and laid off and wife is on SSI and AHMSI stared charging us a late fee of $50.00 a month until we paid the lost $1237.00 payment that they lost.We now owe a total of $760.00 in late fees.We put in for a modification loan because of a decrease in income and AHMSI lost all our documents over and over time and time again.We have mailed and faxed over 100 documents they repeatedly keep losing.After 10 months of repeated faxing we were denied.After putting in complaints to the BBB,attorney generals office and the FTC,AHMSI changed their name to Homeward Residential.After my unemployment ran out,I started getting SSDI for my disabilities and wife getting SSI.Income went from $2500. a month to $1800. and now $1000.00 a month with SSDI.Put in for another modification with now Homeward Residential and getting the same treatment like AHMSI was doing.I have mailed and faxed over 100 documents over again,never talked to the same person,so no one ever knows what is going on with our modification or where the documents are.In stead of helping us,they now have the collection agency threatning us for $4000.00.We are almost two months behind now because of two emergencies in the family.We were even told that we didn't even qualify for modification unless we were 3 months behind.All they want to do, is take our home of 30 years,foreclose and get our $40,000. in equity,scam us on the modification and throw us both 61 and 68 years old into the street.
