SCAMS AND UNRELIABLE HSBC BANKING SOFTWARE WHICH IS SCARY- YOU MAY LOOSE MONEY OR MAY BE CHARGED WITH RANDOM FEES OR WHO KNOWS WHAT IS AT END? ( IN LAST TWO YEARS THEY COUDN;T FIX THEIR SYSTEM SOFTWARE)
I am alerting all the NRI community and other HSBC customers with my experience over two years.
1) Undefined RANDOM charges, they ripped off my account and hard earned money. ( As per HSBC they are system generated, if they are random you can imagine how scary software system they use)
2) From two years I have been calling various officers of HSBC eg: Chief Manager- Grover, nodal officer- Srinivasan, Nodal Team manager- Sowmya Sankar along with Sonia Kapasi - Vice president NRI services in Canada, but till today i am not able to use my own money.
a) I am not able to transfer internally among my joint accounts, as well as to third party. I asked them to fix but still HSBC has no clue.( Even VP NRI SERVICES SONIA KAPASI confirmed to me that it should work, there is nothing wrong) In this situation I can use my account only if I go to India. ( i am Non-resident Indian) . My rest of accounts of family members cannot be used since they do not travel to india often and their accounts are dormant. When i enquired phone banking Mr. Vinay said that my internal transfer facility is under maintenance due to some software bugs.
b) internet banking for Nri accounts is useless. Their software system has many bugs.
c) Phone banking or customer service staff , no matter how many times you call them, they just listen and promise to come back, but issues are never fixed up. Imagine for two years I am not able to get any solution from them
d) Their sales man speak good english, well dressed they are ready to trap you by saying premier account can be operated with 1 million INR. But once you sign the application you are shocked to see that this amount is 2.5 million to keep premier account status. Their top manager, nodal officers are not willing to fix this situation as long as their sales team is getting them business. I was trapped same way, and they still use same practice.
e) Undefined foreign currency conversion charges,
f) High charges on debit when you use debit card with foreign currency.
g) Relationship manager is never in place or of any help.
Till today over 3 million INR is struck with them, I cannot withdraw as long as I do not go to India. Their internet banking transfer, phone banking is just a scam for NRI services.
Beware of HSBC NRI SERVICES AND HSBC INDIA, who will sit on your money and will never help you. On top of that as many times you write to them you will be flooded with canned and automated messages.
Officers like Grover ( chief manager Mumbai) , Sowmya Sankar, jerlin Xavier (nodal office Chennai) , Rekha ( bombay) will never help you, They will just reply irrelevant ( copy and paste canned mesages), else in two years I would have been able to use my money.
Don;t loose your money, time, and business with them as well as your hard earned money is struck and they charge your account with undefined charges, and your accounts become dormant ( even without any reason)
Their postal communication take 2 months to get a old dated letter/statement/intimation of any nature- which doesn;t help. ON top of that most of letters they do not use adequate postal stamps.
So in this case when their postal communication, internet banking , phone banking is mere brain wash, why loose your money with these crooks sitting at HSBC INDIA.
HSBC is just a dirty banking system in India with modern furniture with corrupt , lethargic , university drop out workforce and shady managers.
HSBC most likely used software with bugs which doesn;t allow you to perform your business, this is what was told by mr. Vinay in bombay call centre. You get all kind of errors without any reference.
This is what is harming our accounts with irrelevant , undefined charges which are random system generated and manually this problem cannot be solved, I have been hearing this since 2 years.
NRI'S Beware and steer clear from well dressed HSBC salesman and do not get into their trap, if you value your own hard earned money.
Is it not scary and horror to know -
What if their software suddenly says your balance is zero?
What if their software says you have to pay so much of charges?
Your account becomes dormant randomly by system error or human mistake
( I had various versions from different officers about the time frame of account become dormant- i got various replies from 6 months to 1 year to 2 years- nothing documented)
-- You are the looser.... So better keep HSBC Services out till they fix their major software maintenance or software bugs,unethical selling, corrupt lethargi and unaccountable lethargic managers and nodal officers.
Keep record of your money on papers else one fine day there will be no one to answer from HSBC . Don;t you think HSBC is scary in this situation??
avoid them by all means.........Don;t be a looser like me.
