WATCH OUT FOR LATE FEES IF YOU DO BUSINESS WITH HSBC.  PLEASE AUDIT YOUR BILLS.  I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE US DEPT OF THE TREASURE'S The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency AGAINST HSBC RETAIL CARD SERVICES.  OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS I'VE PAID ALL OF MY BILLS ON TIME.  THERE IS ONE FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY HOWEVER, HSBC, THAT FOR SOME REASON PROCESSES MY PAYMENTS LATE AND CHARGES ME THE $39 FEE FOR PAYING THEM LATE.  I STARTED SENDING MY PAYMENTS EARLIER AND THE LATE FEES CONTINUED TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST MY ACCOUNT.  I DECIDED TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT AND PAY THEM IN FULL LAST MONTH.  I DID PAY THEM IN FULL AND THEY SENT ME ANOTHER LATE PAYMENT FEE BILL.  I WENT AHEAD AND PAID THE ADDITIONAL $39.  EVERY TIME I CALLED THEM, I ENDED UP TALKING TO THE FOREIGN OUTSOURCES CALL CENTER REPS WHO CANNOT COMMUNICATE VERY WELL.  IT IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.  I CANNOT PROVE THAT THEY COMMITED FRAUD BY CHRONICALLY PROCESSING CUSTOMER PAYMENTS LATE AND CHARGING THEM FEES, BUT I ASKED THE US GOV TO LOOK INTO HSBC.  I AM VERY SUSPECT OF HSBC NOW AND JUST WANTED TO WARN YOU ALL.  I HOPE THAT THE FEDERAL AUDITORS CAN CHECK THEM OUT.  EVERY TIME I CALL HSBC, THEIR CALL CENTER REPS ARE VERY QUICK TO EXPLAIN THAT THE POST OFFICE DELAYS THE MAIL SOMETIMES.  I KNOW THAT I DON'T HAVE ISSUES WITH ANY OTHER BANK OR ANY OTHER UTILITY THAT I PAY MONTHLY (I HAVE ACCTS WITH CHASE, CITI AND DISCOVER AND HAVE NO ISSUES WITH THEM).
