Paying either $200 to $300 a month more than the payment amount now for about 10 years on this mortgage loan. But the last four months I have been paying just the payment amount. But on one of them I missed the payment amount by 88 cents.

HSBC then charged a $87.24 late payment penalty. In talking to customer service, I am late, and that is it. Pay the late payment penalty plus the 88 cents or we charge you another.

Looking back the last 19 payments, I am ahead $4,400... But HSBC says I am behind... That is outright fraud and extortion.

Excellent class action law suite material.
