HSBC Paid loan off ahead of schedule, missed one payment by 88 cents and get $87 late payment penalty Buffalo, New York

HSBC then charged a $87.24 late payment penalty. In talking to customer service, I am late, and that is it. Pay the late payment penalty plus the 88 cents or we charge you another.
Looking back the last 19 payments, I am ahead $4,400... But HSBC says I am behind... That is outright fraud and extortion.
