HUGHESNET canceled my service due to move now they are charging me $369. several months later saying cancelation fee. which I never signed a greement to continue service for 2 more years. chicago, Illinois

I canceled my service back in March due to moving. At the time they told me that my ex- husband was stil on the account which I have been trying to get off the account for about 3 years. The bill came in my name they told me to fax power of atty. to them which I did twice. I canceld service in March, now 3 months later I receive a bill for $369. They told me I renewed my contract when I received a upgrade on the equipment that I was having problems with. I never renewed any contract because my house was for sale. I never signed anything. I never agreeded to this, was never told I would have to renew.

   I talked to billing several times they wont take it off or credit my acount. All they will do is split it with me and charge me $185.00. this I told them is unacceptable. I canceled in good faith., and I have been having problems with them for over 4 years with there equipment and billing problems.
