We dropped our 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe off to have an oil leak repaired. After not hearing from them all day, we finally had to call after seeing our car sitting in the back lot, and ask if our car was finished. The service manager, Allan, told us the car was fixed but they had to let it sit overnight to make sure the leak had been repaired. Allan called my husband the next day and told him it was still leaking and they would have to order a part for it.
They ended up having our car for 6 days. They did not offer us a rental car until the 2nd day of having our car. We finally picked our car up, I asked that my husband call me when he picked it up because I had written the mileage down when we dropped it off. He called me and these people had put 250 miles on our car! Then when my husband got home with the car, he yelled for me to come outside. He found a dent in the top of the roof. We knew it was not there when we dropped it off as we had only had the car for 5 weeks and my husband had washed the car at least 5-6 times during that time. Also, my husband and the service manager, Allan, did a walk around inspection of the car when we dropped it off.
I called and spoke with Allan the very next day to question why our car had 250 mi and a dent. He had not reasonalbe explanation but asked if I could bring the car back up there the following day for him to look at it. I took it back up there, he looked at the dent and said he didnt know how it got there but he would repair it but he would take no responsibility for the damage. I asked if they had security cameras and he said no. I then asked to speak to the manager, Curtis Gallagher. Allan got very upset when I insisted on speaking to the manager.
I spoke to Curtis who was of no help either. He wanted to see the mileage on my car for himself to make sure that I didnt write down the trip mieage instead of the odometer mileage. I gladly escorted him to my car for him to look at the mileage. He realized then that I had written down the correct mileage. He had no explanation but said it did make him wonder about it being driven since it was a sports car. He offered to repair the dent, give me a full tank of gas and a free oil change. I had to take the car back up there again for them to repair the dent. I had to take days off of work and put almost 100 more miles on my car taking it back and forth to have them look/repair the car.
After the car was repaired, I ask that they go ahead and put gas in it even though I already had 1/2 a tank because once I left there I never wanted to see those people again.
I wrote the owner, Rocky Hendrickson a letter about the experience I had and never heard a word from him. These people are crooks and liars. They kept our car and used it as their own and then somehow put a dent in it while they had it. We think they had it repaired the first day but just wanted to keep it to drive it. I would never recommend anyone buy or have a vehicle repaired by these people!
Also, on our invoice they had that they had only put 15 miles on our car. When I questioned Allan about the discrepancy, he kept changing his story. They also never did a walk around with my husband when he picked the car up. I've never ever experienced anything like this and I hope you all will take heed to this warning and stay away from this business!
