Unfortunately my husband and I were placed in the position where we had to search for health insurance. We are both diabetics and when my husband retired because of bad health I came home too. We worked together at our former place of employment. I am being crippled with rheumatoid arthritis and just managed to work until we could be home. We could not afford our insurance from our job and most companies will not even talk to you if you have any condition beyond perfect health.

I made the fatal error of signing on with Health Care Credit Union Association because of the promises they made of how great this plan was. Within 7 days I found a much better plan and just a 3rd the cost. So I called HCCUA back and had them cancel long before the initial 14 days were up and I had no intention of using their services nor did I. I believed they would return my 1st payment but instead just heard from my bank that they took another $319.95 again.

I will be reporting to my bank tomorrow and make sure they cannot get into our account again but I am in desperate need of the money they already stole. I am in process of filing for permanent disability but it will be 2 years or more before it will come thru. I did great as it was, working 15 more years than I was told I could before this disease got the best of me. We are on a very tiny fixed income and this is devastating to us. I have sent HCCUA an email demanding a full refund of both payments and have given them 48 hrs. to respond.

This company came thru for us shortly after I posted the message. They refunded our money cheerfully and completely. I was really surprised but as far as we are concerned they stepped up to the plate. You be the judge whether to use them or not but they will refund your money if you call them .
