There is no reason after reading the reports about this company to initiate any business with them when looking to use a phone buyback company. Totem is a true rip-off. Top Dog,Nicholas Fiorentino is an arrogant jerk as well.
I sent my phone in using their return packaging which offered great protection and here is what happened: after weeks of waiting, they sent back a phone with a downgraded price (I can’t imagine them offering anyone the top price they promoted on their website.) The phone was either sent back with a shattered glass display or was shattered in the insufficient packaging during shipment. It was wrapped in one sheet of thin eight by eight inch mini bubble wrap and placed inside an empty USPS Priority document envelope.
My suspicion is that they sent back a phone that was damaged to retaliate for me not accepting the downgraded price. After contacting them repeatedly and threatening to get legal help I was given a check for the downgraded price. [continued below]....
Why should you go through this or anything close to this? Let this be a cautionary tale and just keep looking. Use the net to review cell phone buyback vendor feedback…. something I neglected to do initially.
