On September 6, 2012 I made a purchase with this company for an Apple iPad 3 Wi-Fi + 4G/64GB. I wired this company a total of $484.00 USD. ($325 for the purchase and $159 for a tariff fee). I sent the money and I was told they were shipping out my iPad at 3:00 p.m. and I would receive it within 3-5 business days. I was also told I would be receiving my tracking number as well.

We ship so many items out today and our shipping agency should match the tracking numbers and orders first.Then we will email you tracking number and invoice, you can track your items until you get your items.Please wait for my email with your tracking number and invoice.

Email from hotefirm on September 8, 2012: Dear friend: Hope you everything goes well . We have contacted the officer in custom so many times, but a piece of bad news: Mr. Wang Ming has delivered the Apple iPad 3 Wi-Fi + 4G 64GB to HaiDian Custom on Sep 8th, 2012.

 And our staffs have inspected the packing list. In fact, all formalities they have handed in are all professional and clear, but according to the new regulation, we have to charge 159USD for additional exporting tax.

They asked 159 USD for the additional tax as penalty because your price is lower 20% than China market.According to the new regulation , you need pay for 159 USD to clear custom as soon as possible in order to ensure you that you will receive your items in this week.

I am sorry that we could not know it early! Please be considerate and check the invoice from custom . You should pay the tax to us as soon as possible so that we can clear customs for you quickly. Or they will take an action in 5 days from now on .  Have a nice day !

Email from hotefirm on September 14, 2012: Dear friend : We have shipped your items out yesterday .Your items are damaged and we have to change a new one for you in order to avoid to return when you receive it.

You know that accident is beyond of our control. It will spend us 7 days to make the manufacturer to deal with the return. Today we have returned the items to manufacturers, they are dealing with the problem now. 

I think we can get a new one on Sunday next week and arrange shipping for you on Sunday next week.We will save time to update your items. We hope it will not effect our cooperation for long time.

Our manager inform us today that we will have a holiday for National Day so that we can not contunie to ship your items until our shipping agency comes back for work after 5 days.

Then we will email you tracking number and invoice ,you can track your items until you get it.We got the notice just now and we inform you at the first time. I am so sorry to make you wait for longer time and we can not inform your before because it is an urgent notice.so please forgive us. Have a nice day ! 

I sent a reply back to them and waited.

Email from hotefirm on October 7, 2012: Dear friend, How are you? Sorry to disturb you and waste of your precious time. I am so sorry for that we cannot get your items back on time and we do not have the items that you want in our stock now so we decide to give your payment and tariff back .

I am so sorry to make you wait for so long time.We will give your money back through money gram,we have your name,country and all the information we need to make a refund. We will email you the refund information once we give your money back.So please wait for my email with your refund informatoin. I am looking forward to our cooperation next time. Best wishes.

I asked them on that same date when would they be sending me the money and they sent back an email informing me that they would send it to me at the end of October 2012. I asked for a specific date but to no avail they would not respond.

My email on October 17, 2012: Hello, This is Kebin Carr. I have not heard anything from you since October 7th. Can you please tell me when will you refund $484.00 USD to me? I didn't think it would take this long to send the money through Western Union. Please let me know if you can wire the money to me today. Thanks for your time and help in this matter. Look forward to hearing from you.

My email to hotefirm on October 30, 2012: Hello Kate or Whomever I'm doing business with, My name is Kebin Carr and it is the end of the month. I've sent several emails to you since you sent your last email on October 8, 2012 letting me know that your firm will refund the $484.00USD and I've gotten no reply from you since.

 Please let me know today when you will refund the money to me. Once again, when you ask me to pay for the merchandise I immediately sent you the money. I should get the same respect from you. Thank you for your time and help in this matter.

It has been almost 2 months since I started this transaction with hotefirm and have not received my money from this company. Can you please help me? It will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
