Hidy Hyundai (Particularly the NEW car sales manager) New car sales manager is a total JERK that YELLS at you if he is not happy with your negotiating price! Beavercreek, Ohio

I just had a terrible experience at Hidy Hyundai this evening. The salesman was the nicest and most honest salesman I've encountered thus far along my car hunting journey, and I was thrilled to be working with him. We (my finace and I) went inside to discuss details on a used car I wanted to purchase, and things seemed to be going well. There were a few details on the car I wanted fixed before signing on the dotted line, and he was very understanding of these things. These were all very minor things that couldn't have cost the dealership more than $400 total, if that. He said the terms and price we discussed seemed to be fair, and that he would go discuss it with the sales manager (the used car sales manager wasn't there, so we had to deal with the new car sales manager). We never saw the salesman after that point. A few minutes after the salesman left the desk, the new car sales manager came to us and told us that there was no way he would be able to meet our price, and that it was going to be another $1,000 on our offer price if we wanted all of the repairs done on the car, NOT including tax and title. This only knocked about $300 off of the original price posted on the car. Mind you, this is a car they have had on their lot for 3 months already! We told him we could not afford that extra $1,000 on our car loan, and we needed the repairs done on the car if we were buying it. We also mentioned that we saw a similar car with lower miles at another lot that was cheaper. It was obvious that telling him that ticked him off. He then left the desk for a few minutes and returned with an obviously frustrated look on his face. At this point, he was raising his voice at us, and told us all he could do is extend our loan for another 6 months to make the payment affordable, AND he decided that he wasn't going to do some of the repairs we wanted done! THEN he says, "This car is $11,900, and you're asking too much for too little!" The funny thing is, this car was only listed at $9,900, but once he knew we wanted it, it was suddendly $11,900! He admitted to us that they only post lower prices in the Auto Traders and online to get people to the lot, then, they jack them up again! Once again, we told him we could not afford that extra $1,000 on our loan, AND the fact that we did not want a 5 1/2 year loan on a used car. He then jerked the paper off of the desk that he had doodled prices on, stood up, and YELLED at the top of his lungs, "I APPRECIATE YOUR OFFER!" in a sarcastic voice. He literally RAN from the desk, and as we were walking out the door, he yelled to our salesman, "AND LOCK THE DOORS BEHIND 'EM!" We don't mind the fact that we couldn't come to an agreement on the car, but feel that it was totally inappropriate the way the manager talked to us (and yelled at us) as if we weren't good enough for his OVERPRICED, DIRTY, USED CARS! They almost had a lifetime customer, until the new car sales manager had to be a total p***k and act like a 5 year old and stomp away yelling at us! Now, we're getting an AMAZING deal on a car right across the street from them. :)
