Since Dealing with Higher One, I have experienced the following,
1. Horrible Customer Service!!, takes at least 10 minutes to get a human on the phone.
2. Official Check 7-10 business days, ya right, it has been close to a month!!!
3. 50 cent pin based fee and outrageous fees altogether that are designed to encourage responsible spending...ya right, first of all I don't need a financial institution telling me how to be responsible, second that reason in general is BS, the fee's are designed to make someone very rich!!!
This is sleazy business model designed to nickel and dime the students!!! a SCAM in other words, I am a little surprised why they have not been shut down yet, I bet it has something to do with a little something called lobbying and super-pacs though. Bottom line these people need to be shut down and fined. The business model is designed to take advantage of naive students and tax payer money, another indication of a broken system and corrupt bankers!!! Go to Hell Higher One!!!

I couldn't stop laughing at the last sentence, A+ rated Better Business Bureau rating. This is to let everyone who doesn't know that the BBB is nothing more than a scam as well, scam companies like yourself pay money to have that rating, the fact that your company associates with the BBB is a huge red flag, furthermore any company that has a reputation such as yours would NEVER have an A+ rating. This is too everyone reading this, Higher One is SCAM, do not be fooled by these WACK rebuttals from this corporate FILTH. I have already written the Dean of my school as well as my congressmen, I would suggest everyone else do the same. The only problem is the government is a huge scam as well. You people should feel ashamed of yourselves and I really hope you are plagued with some type of horrible fate. Go to He11 higher one!!!

Higher One does not delay refunds. In fact, your school partnered with Higher One to deliver your refund quicker and with more options. Now your school can offer you more ways to get your money with an online setup thats easier to use. With Higher One, youll have 2 to 3 different ways to get your money. Before Higher One, many students had no choice but to wait for a paper check. With Higher One, students can choose to receive their refund electronically in as little as 2 days into the bank of their choice, electronically the same day by opening up a Higher One account, or through a traditional paper check which takes 5-7 days. Higher One releases the funds to students the day it receives them, provided the student has indicated how he would like to receive the refund. Its always free for students to receive their refunds, per standards set by the Department of Education.
As for the OneAccount, it is not mandatory, but more than 2 million students have voluntarily chosen to use it nationwide because it works well for them. The OneAccount was also deemed one of the lowest cost alternatives for students. Look at this study we conduct quarterly: www.higherone.com/brettonwoods
Recently, Higher One eliminated the PIN fee on two out of three of the accounts it offers. On the OneAccount, the fee is avoidable by choosing credit not debit at the point of sale and swiping and signing for your purchase. When you swipe & sign you are protected with the MasterCard Zero Liability policy against fraudulent purchases
Higher One serves more than 10 million students around the country and maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. I hope this response gives you more clarity on Higher One's services.
