Our 1st trip to HHI was greatly anticipated. Called ahead of trip to purchase cruise tickets. Hilton Head Guests Services said they could be able to help us purchase all-inclusive tickets at a reduced rate. We purchased tickets for the Daufauskie Island Cruise and Historic Savannah Cruise for the cost of $61.00 (tax included). Was thrilled that we could save money. Hilton Head Guests Services was misleading in every way. After the purchase of the tickets, we had to verify with the supervisor of our purchase and told it was a non-refundabe amount. THEN we were told that in order to offer us the discounted tickets, we would need to attend a time-share presentation that would take less than an hour. Got to our hotel and planned to go pick up our tickets on Tuesday, 6/6/12. To make a long story short. We were approached at our hotel on 6/5/12 to attend a presentation that would not take more than 1/2 hr to 1 hr of our time and as a thank you, we would receive a cashier's check for $125. We went on the tour (3 1/2 hrs) got an envelop with our Thank You. When we opened it, it was our pre-purchased cruise tickets, no check for $125. Our tickets were not all-inclusive and each trip costs us an additional $57 for the Daufauskie Cruise and $44 for the Historic Savannah Cruise. Needless to say, our experience at Hilton Head Island was less than favorable and we will not be returning. Our vacation dollars will be spent elsewhere in the future.
