Hipelectro.com Robbed Me of $79.80 and Hopes of Receiving Snapjack Cables and Tips Internet and Rosedale, Maryland
I searched online for Snapjack guitar cables using Google search engine. I then clicked the 'Shopping' link, which arranges the google search results specifically by dollar price. Thus, your results would only return items for sale and no erroenous articles.
Only a few retailers were offering the product in my country. Hipelectro.com, was one of them. I inspected the site for legitamcy. I determined it to be so albeit, a simple website with traditionally primitive graphical layout, still turned up as a local business in Rosedale, Maryland according to 2(two) websites showcasing its positive reviews:

The site listed a multitude of electronic gadgets and gear (which still appear in google searches for HipElectro.com if one proceeds to the many links of pages). The site required account creation/login to purchase goods. I did so. Received an email from email@example.com as follows( is simply a new line):
Dear Mr. XXXX, We wish to welcome you to Hipelectro.You are now registered with our store and have account privileges: With your account, you can now take part in the various services we have to offer you. Some of these many services include:Order History - View the details of orders you have completed with us.Permanent Cart - Any products added to your online cart remain there until you remove them, or check them out.Address Book - We can deliver your products to an address other than yours! This is perfect to send birthday gifts direct to the birthday-person themselves.Products Reviews - Share your opinions on our products with other customers.For help with any of our online services, please email the store-owner: firstname.lastname@example.orgSincerely,Ian ClarkeStore Owner
I then logged into the hipelectro account I had just created. I initiated the purchase for 3 x Snapjack Two Pack Angled Tips and 1 x Snapjack Two Pack Straight Tips totaling $79.80. Within minutes and received an email shortly after confirming the breakdown of my purchase along with my delivery and my billing address and a link to both an invoice saved on their website and also 'payment instructions'. These instructions prompted me to purchase an Amazon Gift Card for the exact amount of the order. Then to email the Amazon Generated PDF page which provided the claim number for the Gift Card Amount to the email@example.com address.
After I completed the steps in the instructions(which I believed paid for my purchase), I received a confirmation email that the order was 'processing'. The very next day I received two emails, minutes apart. Both from firstname.lastname@example.org but one prefixed the name HipElectro.com Support and the other just HipElectro. Each email reflected that my order was now shipped. One of the emails even stated a specific date and said their deliveries can take up to 7 days.
No package ever arrived. Once the delivery date had passed I checked and the Amazon Gift Card Code had already been claimed. The website has since been shut down. Although, the email@example.com address was still open. My research lead me to believe one of their former fake office phone numbers was : 206-339-1962 also that they posed to be operating out of Rosedale, Maryland.
Although it seems obvious enough to me now, I sincerely hoped my product was available and would ship as it is somewhat difficult to obtain these days. I was lured due to the limited retailers of my desired product. I assumed this was a small family run business, thus excusing some of the typographical and primitive approaches to business, marketing, and functionality.
