Holiday Travel Of America False Advertising Carlsbad California

I am very dissatisfied with the service from Holiday Travel of America. My boyfriend were approached by Shell Vacations club to go to a presentation. At the end of the presentation we were to receive 2 free trips, one to Napa and one to Lake Tahoe. After many phone calls from the Holiday Travel office, I finally got in touch with someone there. They refuse to leave a message about the dates we selected, but insist on talking to one of us. So, it is a continuous game of phone tag as we both work beyond the hours someone is available to talk to. Finally we spoke to someone who told us they received our choices and $25 for Napa and that we would receive a confirmation in the mail for one of the dates selected. We got a paper instead that told us now we couldn't have either date. We called again, stating that we were upset that first they told us we could, then that we couldn't. They all of a sudden had the date requested. I also paid the $25 for the Lake Tahoe trip but the lady on the phone said she couldn't help with that one. I have to speak to someone else that I can't get a hold of.

In addition to all of this, I now get a letter in the mail saying that I do not get my trips unless I agree to send a fax copy or a copy by mail of the front and back of my credit card. There is no way that I will send that information in such an unsecure way. This is ridiculous. They tell me that if we do not show up, they want to be able to charge us $150. I never intended to buy anything and was told that we could have the trips no matter and that all we would have to pay is the $25 per trip. I am not comfortable giving out my credit card information in the way requested. Something must be done about this. I either want my $50 back and just forget about the whole thing, or I want my free trips as promised without any hassle.
