Home Affordable Direct acquires potential clients by purchasing internet data of distressed homeowners and soliciting them for a free evaluation.
Their company imposes a pre-qualification stage during the sales process. First, they review the customer’s qualifications for government enhanced programs. Then, after reviewing and validating income and expenses, customers are qualified off of modified reports.
Affordable Direct aims their focus towards distressed home owners in the tri-state area.
When asked how they advise and suggest products for their clients, CEO Javier Gutierrez explained, “We do internet campaigns where we target key points. Then, customers are directed to our website.”

This company is working without an attorney. They promise that you pre-qualify for a modification, ask you to send closing documents so they can do a forensic audit on your loan, which never gets done. If you need a lawyer, I believe they say the lawyer is someone named Fred Freedman, good luck to you. While he does exist, he is non-existant. The retainer says if they can't get you a modification you get your money back. Well, I didn't get a modification and wanted my money back. I was told I had to speak to Javier. After many calls I finally got to speak to him. He gave me this big bs story about not having control over the banks processor and on and on. I'm still waiting for my refund. This company advertises on the radio, BEWARE they are in the business of scamming people.
