I received no service from the National Service
Network Home Choice program. My microwave claim was reported to the
company on 20 July 2011. I was told
that at least three different companies were going to fix the microwave. On 13 July 2011 not one of these companies
contacted me except as indicated below.
On 1 July 2011, I called Mr. Harris (head of claims department) and he
told me that the matter would be resolved that day and he would get back to me
with the solution before close of business on 1 July. No response from anyone.
I had to buy a new microwave for $587.99.
At first, after 2 days, I was given a company to fix
it. They agreed to be out Friday (24 Jun 11) between 9 am and 12
noon to fix the unit. They did not show. After talking to
them, they said they would be out by 2 pm. Called them again and they
said they would not come out and the warranty company would have to get some
one else. Another company was identified but they could not service the
microwave until they had a copy of the contract and have agreed to the
terms. No one has contacted me since 1
July to repair the microwave.
On 27 July 2011 I received a call from the company
and they indicated that a check for $587.99 would be sent in 2 to 4 weeks. It is now 2 Sep 2011 and no check has been
received. I called them on on 2 Sep
2011 and they said (Rose) that they would only receive $150.00 (which I have
not received). She said it would have
to be reviewed by upper management and they would contact me in a few
minutes. No call back.
The Better Business Bureau for that area was
contacted (Case number 90106848(Ref#106-90032235-90106848-3-200)) and they
indicated that they made several attempts to contact the business and received
no response. Finally, Home Choice Warranty indicated I was awarded
$150.00 since they claim the agreement was changed.
No payment (as of 1/20/2012) has been received nor
has a revised agreement been received.
They do not respond to phone calls or certified letters.
