We moved to a new home and went into Home depot to purchase plantation shutters. They had a sale and offered 1 year intrest free. We were specific as to the fact our address had changed for the billing and installation. Two months later we recieve a late notice from Home depot credit. No problem with our address now. I call and speak with customer rep. Didn't care one bit and said he would remove the late fee if I paid off the balance. I was not going to pay a late fee so I paid off the full amount. Was checking my credit report a few months later and noticed they had filed a late pay on my credit report. Called and they said there was nothing they could do and I would have to go to the credit report companies to get it removed or at least try to. I told them to take thier card and put it where the sun don't shine. Would never have filed this but now I am getting offers pre-approved to apply for HD credit card with no intrest for 6 months. Be careful dealing with these offers by Home Depot. Talked with Store manger and he siad he could do nothing that Home Depot credit was completly seperate from Home Depot. I go to Lowes now.
