Refusing To Take Responsability For Mistake They Created

         We ordered a Sliding Glass door from Home Depot in Pontiac Michigan $1700.  After paying and having it partially installed by a private contractor, $600, we noticed it was the wrong door. We went back to the person we ordered it from and said there has been a mistake with our new door. Tony, the Department. Mgr for Home Depot, admitted he ordered the wrong door and apologized.  Tony immediately called and ordered the right door.  The difference in these doors are the direction they open.  It wasn't color or esthetic's we were disputing.  It just wouldn't work.   After waiting a second 21 days for the new door and after paying to have the wrong door installed, the Home Depot refuses to pay to have the new door installed. We've already paid once  They have been giving us the run around about getting approval from the Regional Mgr. The Home Depot knows we have to go out of town, but are waiting to have this door on our house before we can go.  Tony and two other employees including the Store Mgr. didn't even have the curiously to call us and let us know the 2nd door was in and ready to be installed.  Each employee has assured us they will make this right.  The Store Mgr doesn't want to pay the installer.  Now they keep us on hold until we hang up and after going there the Mgr. hid in his office until we got tired of waiting and left even after many employees assured us he would be right out to resolve this.  I can't believe the Corporate office chooses to do business like this.  This is just one website I am telling about this situation.  Please don't let these junior managers rip off handicapped people, because I insist on getting what I paid for.  I've had multiple strokes and I'm tired and at my wits end. It amazes me in this day and age where companies are fighting over customers to spend money in their stores, a few mis-trained junior managers will hide and hope you will go away instead of taking responsibility and fixing the issue THEY caused.  John, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan
