We were in the final stages of a loan mod with Chase when they sold it to Homeward Residential, effective 9/17/2012.  I contacted them right away and was told it would take up to 60 days to get things finalized.  (All 3 trial payments on the loan mod had been made to Chase.)

We finally got final modification paperwork on 11/8/2012, signed and notified, sent back 11/15/2012.  It is now 12/27/2012 and our paperwork is still "under review".  I call every two days and depending on who I talk to get a different story each time, i.e., we're in active foreclosure, you should have made a payment, we can't accept your payment.

One person told me to go ahead and make my Nov. 1 payment at the new amount; ran to Western Union, made the payment, call them the next day to see if I can make my December payment and was told they can't accept any payments and that they will send the one I made the day before back to me.

Now, after reading all these complaints on here and I am feeling very hopeless that we will ever get this straightened out.  Is there anyone out there who can help?  I would email the CEO of the company, as I did with Chase, but there is no email address to be found for him.  I've been working at this for a year and I don't know if I have the strength to fight this.

Been Their

AUTHOR: Ticked off - (United States of America)

I have been through the whole loan modification with Chase. They strung us along, telling us to fax things over, then we would have to call them, and they would tell us they didn't receive it or it wasn't readable. Some documents we sent to them over 4 times. By the time they got all the paper work done, they had are household income and bills all wrong, and we were denied. They denied us for 2 different modifications, then the 3rd was so outrageous it wasn't even an option. During this time we were told not to make payments as they wouldn't go towards our loan, and that as long as we were in the loan modification process they wouldn't foreclose on our home. Well they did, so we hired another company to do another loan modification, and I don't know for sure if Chase strung them along or they didn't do their job because they will not return my phone calls. Chase is a crook and they will do every thing in their power to make sure you don't keep your home, in my experience! Good luck!
