BOUGHT A NEW 2002 HONDA ODYSSEY VAN, AFTER ALMOST A YEAR, I WAS DRIVING, MY 6 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS SITTING IN BACK SEAT PASSENGER SIDE. WHILE MAKING A TURN THE SLIDING PASSENGER SIDE DOOR RIGHT NEXT TO HER OPENED ON ITS OWN. THANK GOD SHE WAS STRAPPED IN VERY WELL. RIGHT AWAY I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE AT THE HONDA DEALERSHIP. AFTER MANY TESTING THEY SAID THAT THEY WILL REPLACE THE MOTOR FOR THE SLIDING DOOR. SHORTLY AFTER THAT THE OTHER DOOR STARTED ACTING UP.
WELL THIS TIME THEY SAID ITS OUT OF WRRANTY AND THEY MADE ME PAY FOR IT. THROUGH OUT ALL THESE YEARS, THE SLIDING DOORS WOULD OPEN ON THEIR OWN, ALSO WOULD NOT CLOSE AS IF THEY WERE POSSESSED. I DEMANDED THAT THE DEALER CONTACT HONDA AND TELL THEM WHAT WAS HAPPENING. EVERYTIME THEY WOULD SAY ITS OUT OF WARRANTY!!!! NOW MY DOORS ARE TAPED WITH MASKING TAPE AND CAN'T USE THEM AT ALL. MANY TIMES THE DOORS WOULD OPEN AND WOULD HAVE A VAN FULL OF KIDS. I CONTACTED HONDA BUT TO NO AVAIL....
