You agreed to the future shipments when you gave them your credit card for the "shipping" costs. You simply did not read the terms and conditions of the "free" offer.
Just apply some common sense here. How can a company be in business if they only give stuff away for free? Why do you thing they give that "free" sample? Think about it.
No ripoff here, just the failure of the consumer to read before buying.
