Re: Order number: HECS-16898
This item came with two clear cartomizers. I love the idea, but BOTH of these tasted "burnt" within the first 4 draws, in spite of soaking the carts for some time. In addition, the KGO units turn off spontaneously. I am always hitting it 5 times to turn it on again.
I would like to return these, unless you want to try again with a replacement kit. This one is kind of useless.

12/18/2012 7:42:48 PM It doesn't appear that you got your E-Liquid from us, can you tell me the PG/VG ratio of the juice you are using in the KGO you got from us? What you are describing is the auto lock feature of the KGO, if the button is held for 10 seconds it will go into auto lock mode and will need to be clicked 5 times to be unlocked.

12/19/2012 9:55:16 PM Re: Batteries. Note above that I said " the KGO units turn off spontaneously. I am always hitting it 5 times to turn it on again". I am well aware of how it works. But one of these batteries is always going off automatically, and I must press 5 times to turn it on again. Repeat: I am not turning it off. It does it by itself.
Re: Cartomizers, I use Creamy Joe from Dark City Vapors, 40 PG/60 VG. I also used Halo Tribeca. They do not reveal their mix. Both of these work fine in the Smoktech cartomizers with no burnt taste. I hope you are not saying that you won't stand behind these because I did not get the juice from you, are you?
Conclusion: I request a refund, and would be happy to return these to you. Awaiting your decision....
Staff (Brent McCullough)
12/20/2012 3:37:53 PM I never said that you were turning it off. Please read it agian. I asked the mix of your liquid not to set you up to tell you we don't stand behind our product if you don't use our juice, but to find out if you are using a juice that is higher in VG than it is in PG. Clearomizers do not absorb VG heavy liquids well. If you want to send it back for a refund we can do that for you, but you can keep the clearomizers as we will not refund you for them since you have been using them.

12/20/2012 9:49:36 PM One of the two batteries keeps turning off by itself, and the two cartomizers do not and never did work, being "burnt" from the beginning. You will not refund the cartomizers however because I have tried unsuccessfully to use them. I want to be clear on this for my review at the e-cig forum, yelp, and several other places. You are very foolish. Your customer is "right", and your cartomizers were not usable. You have 24 hours to agree to take back the cartomizers too. Then it is "review" time. Your choice. People should know.
Customer
12/20/2012 9:57:27 PM PS - I would recommend that you let people know if your product will not work with certain types of juices. That would be only reasonable. You did not do this.

Rebuttal? And you never did business with them???

I don't get it. You want to rebut my compalaint that Brent McCullough of Hoosier E-Cig was rude and threatening, and his attorney specificallt threatened to sue me if I "did not retract my complaint". and you have never done business with them??? What is the basis of your rebuttal? Did you read the complaint?
- Brent was extrremely rude.
- He had his attorney threaten me with a lawsuit if I did not withdraw the complaint.
- No refund was offered until weeks later, after he could see that I welcomed his lawsuit.
- I bought a kit with 2 batteries and 2 cartomizers. One of the batteries worked, and nothing else did.
- The products did not fail "eventually". They failed IMMEDIATELY.
Brent McCullough and Hoosier E-Cig supplyt take no responsibility for the quality of their products. If it is a bad part, too bad. They keep your money.
Brent you seem to have a HUGE family! I am happy to keep responding factually to these "rebuttals". It just keeps the search engines up to date on the poor products and service at Hoosier E-Cig Supply. I stand by the complaint. A rebuttal by someone who has never done business with this sad company is just baloney. Find something useful to do.

I have not bought anything from Hoosier E-Cig and I am in no way affiliated with the company. I am an E-cig user and I have to disagree with the argument. Any e-cig company who offers a refund for "burnt" taste in a cartomizer would go out of business in a matter of months.. Cartomizers, clearomizers, or even atomizers can be burned very easily if the user doesn't take proper precaution. You are heating a filler material or wick which will burn if not properly soaked in e-liquid. Once you burn the wick or filler, the taste will not go away even if filled properly because it is burned... I would suggest removing this because the issue you are having has nothing to do with Hoosier E-cig. The issue was a user error and it happens to the best of us.

Toilet paper is consumable too, but if you cannot use it or "consume it", how happy will you be with it?
Please read above.
Hoosier's E-Cig Supply sent me a battery that didn't work, and Brent McCullough was very rude and threatening. His attorney threatened to sue me for thousands, until my own attorney wrote to him and pointed out that if you sue a customer for a real complaint, you can get into serious trouble. (Anti-SLAPP Laws) Only then would they back off and accept the return. And not very graciously.
I do not do business with rude, threatening stupid jerks, but you feel free to if you like. By the way, there are many companies now who will guarantee against dead-on-arrival clearomizers or broken batteries. Hoosier E-Cig Supply does not warranty their Clearomizers, or batteries either, apparently. (((competitor's name redacted))) is one who DOES warranty these, so, if you want good service, and you do not like rudeness or legal threats, you ought to try THEM. I highly recommend them. They have a much better reputation than Brent McCullough does. Although from what I see here, Brent must have a lot of relatives.
PS - I have not had any trouble with any of the several vendors I have used since my extremely bad experience with Hoosier E-Cig Supply.

I'm a customer who owns this and many other products that Hoosier Ecig Supply sells. I do not work for Hoosier ecig.
When you purchased your ecig kit, you agreed to the following conditions as stated on the Hoosier Ecig Supply web site. "Returns will be accepted up 10 days after purchase on defective batteries, chargers, cases and other hardware excluding atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizer and tanks. Atomizers and cartomizers are only returnable if DOA. e liquid can not be returned, exchanged, or refunded. Refunds will be issued if the returned product is determined by Hoosier E-Cig to be either defective or unused and undamaged". It is ridicules that you got a refund when this is what YOU agreed to. This is what drives prices up for the rest of us.
No refunds on cartomizers, atomizers, and clearomizers is an industry wide standard practice. The reason for this is because user error is prevelent and consumers are not educated on the proper use of the device. If you are getting dry, burnt hits, no eliquid is getting to the coil. Meaning your liquid is too thick, the wick needs adjusting, there is not enough eliquid in the device or you did not allow enough time for the liquid to absorb or get to the coil. Once you burn it, that taste will remain even if the device is now wicking liquid to the coil. I have used the clearomizers in question and they work if you know how to use them. It would be highly unlikely that both of your clearomizers were defective. There is no such thing as a "fiddle free" ecig. All will need some "fiddling" and education on how to use them.
I also own several of these ecig batteries and they work flawlessly If you got a defective unit, Hoosier offered a replacement right away.
I don't agree with your complaint against Hoosier Ecig Supply. They offer excellent service and good products and fast shipping. Only one time did I receive a cartomizer that did not work properly. It was the kind with the white filler. I did not post negative feedback all over the internet about Hoosier Ecig Supply because I agreed to their terms when I purchased the product. Very rarely do you get a bad cartomizer. It does happen, but they are cheap so it's not worth all the ranting and slander over $2.

It just goes to show that when you are treated with arrogant disregard, a posting on the Ripoff Report can change things. Thanks for the refund. However, I'll be placing my business elsewhere in the future. I don't want to go through this again with them.

Hoosier E Cigs and Brent McCullough are FANTASTIC

I found this report as I had just put Hoosier E cig in Google on my tablet to get the url to make yet another order. Seeing the attempt to besmirch a good man's name I had to respond. It's apparent the person that made the report has issues. I am also afraid that he's not going to find comfort in replacing whatever he's smoking with an e cig.
I will be a customer of Hoosier E Cigs as long as they stay in business. I have never found them to give anything other than FIVE STAR customer service and the best prices you will find.

Update on Hoosier E-Cig Supply, you just THINK it tastes burnt, and see you in court!

UPDATE: After posting my complaint here regarding Brent McCullough's arrogant rudeness and Hoosier E-Cig Supplys refusal to take back his non-functioning KGO kit with two awful, burnt-tasting EGO Clearomizers, I received a CERTIFIED LETTER from the attorney for Hoosier E-Cig Supply. I had posted my emails to them and their answers, here. The letter, from C. Stephen, Attorney at Law stated that while he respected my rights to voice my displeasure with their failure to allow return of my non-functioning e-cig kit, that I was posting inaccurately and with knowing disregard of the truth, and that my actions constitutes defamation and tortuous interference with business relationships and are highly actionable. If I continued, he went on, he would pursue all legal recourse including injunctive relief and recovery of all fees and costs.
Mr. Stephen further stated that Hoosier E-Cig Supply is not able to remedy my problem (of having the first fire-up of their V2 KGO Clearomizers be burnt-tasting) because I dislike the taste because I believe it tastes burnt. This is not a product quality issue, (according to him) but rather a personal taste preference on my part and not something any company could fix! (My emphasis).
After this he DID allow that I may return the product for refund, BUT Hoosier E-Cig Supply does, however, reserve the right to pursue and actionable damages as a result of my actions above (i.e. complaining of burnt taste, which is one that some people MAY like, but probably not!)
Hoosier E-Cig Supplys type of legal thuggery and Brent McCulloughs extreme rudeness reflects badly on the whole industry. If you have an unhappy customer, take care of the problem! Do not threaten to sue them! They cant win a suit if you are telling the truth. Brent should google The Striesand Effect!

Consumables

I spent over $40.00 with Hoosier E-Cig Supply for a kit with 2 batteries and charger, and 2 clearomizers. What I got was 1 operating battery and a charger.
People should stand behind what they sell whether they bought in in China or not. It should work when you receive it. I understand that some e-cig companies will not stand behind their cartomizers. They should. I would not buy from such a company again. How much of your purchase should be bad before you get a free replacement? Any of it!
