I am looking for information on whether or not mailers advertising this companies Millenium Plus GPS tracking device actually go out to the people. I have invested in this program and to this date 5,000 of these mailers have supposedly gone out with my website on them and have generated zero business. This raises a lot of red flags. Has anyone having dealings with this company had any success at all with this program??? Have you had any success at all with selling any of this product through the web site that they set up for you? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Horizon fulfills its contracts

AUTHOR: S - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 05, 2007

There are several comments here. I know for a fact that Kristal received a refund and agreed to notify this web-site that here dispute was resolved.

Chuck, If you have any doubt about your advertising mailers. Simply call Horizon and ask to speak to Tay, or ask for your customer service rep. Someone will look up your account and can give you a full accounting of your mailers. Ask for the list of who got the mail. You are free to contact the companies directly to follow-up if you wish.

I do know that GPS units are sold every day as a result of the advertising. However, I also know that no return can be guaranteed on any advertising. That does not mean that mail was not sent out. Advertising is meant to generate interest. Every piece of mail sent had or will have your company's web-site address.

And finally, Horizon's mailers were not established for retired military to make extra money???

Every, GPS unit purchased has been shipped, they work wonderfully and are very competitively priced. (I have one in my car)

I have the real story

This mailer started as a way for retired military to earn some extra dollars. Then they used their knowledge of GPS to create a computer tracking device for businesses to sell. Only in America!

I just got off the phone for over an hour with this company

AUTHOR: Cris - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 26, 2006

The new hire turned me over to a lead very quickly and the lead would not take no for an answer. He admitted repeatedly that the company had sufferred from mismanagement in the past but everything was perfect since the previous owner's father bought him out. He insisted on staying on the line while I reviewed the websites. I told him that I didn't really see a need for me in the mix because a direct mail firm, a couple of good sales reps and a couple of url redirects could do everything that I would supposedly be contributing to the equation.

If this product worked the way they claimed, one field rep could pay a call on the Detroit Auto Show and wrap up enough stable, well capitalized dealers to keep this firm afloat for years, but no, they'd rather I buy a website from them and pay for a few of their mailers. Huh? What do I know about the auto alarm business? I was reminded that I knew nothing when I suggested that I should prospect for leads to see if the local businesses really ARE as concerned about the location of their fleet vehicles as the sales rep claimed they would be. But I'm supposed to spend $2000 on something I know nothing about because somehow, despite knowing nothing, I just KNOW that GPS technology will be standard equipment in cars five years from now and I have to be in on the ground floor. (Yeah, the circular logic made me nausiated, too)
I'd love to know who their vendor is, how much of their service they provide and how much is farmed out to contractors who would be legitimate to to business with directly. He claims the product is made in Germany. I wonder how many other firms have access to the software necessary to activate the devices and monitor the units?

I also wonder what, if any, relationship his firm has with TEXTRON, he kept dropping their name as one of their financial backers, but that might be because they own the manufacturer and are doing whatever it takes to keep the ship afloat so the products will keep moving. It wouldn't be the first time that a legit company stepped in to try to redeem a "scam" or at least a shaky company because the scam artist owed them money.

Another Consumer Rip-Off

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 29, 2006

Horizon Technologies solicited me on August 21, 2006, by phone.
This call was followed up with another phone solicitation on Aug 22, 2006.
I was pressured into an agreement ( because we have to do it now ) on the evening of August 22, 2006.

On August 29, 2006, I was again solicited and pressured for further advertising ( because we have to do it now ). I was promised by Allen Aron on August 29, 2006 a mailing of 4000 advertising post cards. Advertising by distribution of post cards to start in the Month of Sept 2006. I requested sample of the cards that was to be mailed.

The company Never complied. The promise was for distribution of 1000 cards in Sept, 1000 in Oct, 1000 in Nov, and 1000 In Jan 2007. I paid $4000 for these 4000 mailers which were never sent.
I tried following up and communicating with my coach Ty Sparks for 10 days on email and phone call. Finally got and answer from Ty after the 4th email on October 2. Ty confirmed that none of the cards were ever sent in September.

On October 3, I requested to terminate agreement because of lack of performance on the part of Horizon Technologies. Requested a full refund because of promises made by Horizon technologies were broken and there was never any follow-up.
Furthermore, a GPS unit was promised on August 21 as part of the sales pitch. The sample GPS unit was paid for but never received.

On October 4, 2006 I told credit Card Company of the non-delivery problem and requested a return of all funds to my account.
The solution to this dispute is for a complete refund of $6249.00 to me by crediting my credit card.
