Horizon technologies advertised in the home based business links and claimed the proposal ofbecoming a local distributor for their product which is the Millenium Plus GPS auto tracking unit. An investment was made in the amount of $3500.00 which included sales literature, 1 gps tracking unit, and a website along with flyers and mailers. A monthly monitoring fee and website maintenence fee totalling $50.00 over a 10 month period was assessed during the operation of the home based business. My job consisted of gathering sales leads in the local and national area, and log them into the website back office to be collected by a sales representative of Horizon to contact each lead and attempt to complete the sale. In turn, I would recieve a percentage commision for each sale of each unit and a commision check would be mailed to my home address. During the 10 month period I have collected over 237 sales leads, but none have been finalized to my knowledge. I was given the impression that various sales have been finalized, but I have not recieved a commission check unless I pay an additional $700.00 for my mailers which was not under the agreement for which I have in writting from the head supervisor of Horizon. As of February 13, 2009 I have tried to make several calls to contact Horizon, but had no success. I managed to contact a David Fudoli of Canoga Park, Ca. and informed me that Horizon has filed bankruptcy. I was not given any notification that any filing had taken place, nor was I aware that the company was in financial dispair. In the end of all this, I feel that I have been taken advantage of for all the money that I have given to Horizon technologies and I have nothing to show for it.
