Hostway sold me a product with a one-year shelf life.

After it expired, Hostway continued to bill my credit card without my knowledge, approval or consent for purportedly servicing a product that was already expired.

Hostway's Terms of Use do not state that hosting plans for expired domains will automatically renew until a plan is cancelled.

Accordingly, I am prepared to attest to the fact that it has been my own personal experience that Hostway has employed fraudulent, misleading, and deceptive business practices, unconscionable actions, and breaches of good faith; along with willful, knowing and deliberate consumer fraud that is immoral, unethical, oppressive, and unscrupulous.

Hostway Fails to Respond to Allegations

On July 25, Kristine Freeman - Legal Assistant at Hostway wrote,

"Can you please be more specific as to what "product" you purchased from Hostway and what domain name you used so that I can more accurately respond to these allegations."

However, despite my response on August 2 and a follow-up response on Aug 17, Hostway has failed to respond to these allegations.

According to the Better Business Bureau of Chicago, they processed a total of 43 complaints about this company in their last standard reporting period.

These complaints concerned:

1 Selling Practices,
2 Delivery,
1 Service / Repairs,
1 Product Quality,
2 Refund Promised,
4 Unfulfilled Contract,
19 Customer Service, and
13 Credit or Billing Issues.

These 43 complaints do not include any complaints unreported to the BBB. More information about Hostway's improper business practices can be found here:
