I to am a victim of HPL Subscriptions. A charge for $39.99 was debited by a strange check number #491895 on 12/22/08. It was that check number that made me look at the check on the screen and it was payable to HPL Subcriptions. First off I noticed that they used my old address and did not include the apartment number on it so that was another red flag that I did not make any auth. charge to my acct. I then called the number and talked to a Market Billing Co. who said that they can only tell me that it is a subscription and that it was my name given and my OLD address was given by somebody. I told them I did not auth. the charge so they agreed to refund me, I hope to see a refund. They also told me to call my bank and freeze my acct. I did call my bank and put a freeze on it and I have to go and open a new acct. tomorrow. I am very upset as I have two direct deposits that get put into this acct. so I have a lot of work ahead of me as well as all of the other victims. I see after researching that many people have things in common. Pay Pal Accts. I was a Mary Kay Consultant and so were a few others that I have read and many are Counrty Wide customers. Some are Creative ?? Consultants.. All I can say is these perverts who are getting our money to pay for a porno acct. is who needs to be charged...I want you all to check out the search engine complaints Board and look at the other site for fraud complaints and you will find many other complaints. Has anybody not received a refund.. Or has it happend more then once to a new acct.. Lets pray.
