Hotel Plus DO NOT use Hotel Plus!! They will book you in a filthy motel, keep your money and not return your calls or emails!! Internet

Happened upon this site while looking for hotel plus in order to write a warning review not to use them!  I can relate to New Jersey who said he had booked with Hotel Plus and didn't even know it until he checked out.  I had a similar experience:  My husband and I moved from a remote island in Alaska last month and were going to need a room for a few days to wait for our belongings to arrive.  We found that Motel 6 were pet friendly and booked with them.  We got to the seattle hotel late, with two large, drugged animals in tow along with our many suitcases, feeling rather exhausted and in culture shock.  Our standards are not high by any means, but we do require a clean, safe room--one that at least had sheets on the bed!  we dragged all of our stuff to the room in several trips--the place did not seem suitable to leave items unattended, but that is ok.  We found the back doors propped open (their 'secure interior halls' were not very secure'), clothing in the hallways, people smoking pot, our room had no sheets on the bed--just a hairy mattress pad, the toilet had hair and dried urine on it, the shower had dried mucous on the walls, my dog picked up drug paraphernalia from beside the bed--there were all kinds of people around the parking lot at 1 am--we did not feel safe or at ease at all.  The front desk would not give us another room and by this time, we did not want to stay in this hotel at all.  We let the front desk know that we wanted to check out in the morning and perhaps use the rest of the money that we had already paid on a different motel 6 on the other side of the city.  the front desk informed us that we had paid through hotel plus and they would have to issue our refund.  i had no idea what they meant and felt a little dense when i told my husband that i didn't know i had booked under hotel plus.  anyhow, they gave me their number and i called, hotel plus had a recording to leave name and number and they would call us back.  i also called motel 6 and made arrangements with this other property.  motel 6 customer service was so nice, but unable to help with the refund due to the hotel  plus thing.  the next morning, i tried hotel plus again, and it being the weekend, they said i would have to call 'ken' on monday.  i let her know that i refused to stay in that hotel another night.  we checked out after the property manager rudely called us as she was upset that i had inadvertently complained about her property.  we were very happy with the other motel 6 (and have never had any type of problem like this from a motel 6--besides, hotel plus is the ripoff, not motel 6 at this point).  So, called Ken on monday and he was unhelpful, rude and didn't even care to hear about our experience.  he said it was under review for 48 hours and that he would contact us and let us know the outcome, but that they won't give us a refund.  he never called us back, and i have since tried and either get put on hold forever or hung up on.  i also received an email from HP asking how our stay was and i responded with our plight and have not heard back from them, either.  ken will not return our calls, no return emails.  $200 is a lot of money  and even if it wasn't, this is not right what they are doing at all.  when i try to ask motel 6, they can't do anything because it went through hotel plus.  I am frustrated and trying to find an avenue to a solution.  at least if someone would talk to me, i would know what was going on!  consumer affairs?  the higher ups in motel 6?  hotel plus had to have paid them our money....ken told us that it says right on there, no refunds, but if they are endorsing a filthy property and were going to make us stay there AND the fact that i didn't even know how hotel plus became the entity that i made my reservations through, then i think they owe us something.  i don't want the same thing to happen to someone else that happened to us.
