Reservation was made by me to stay for 3 nights at Days Inn in Horsham, PA. I was told by my employer, HCL, Inc., that I had to use this hotel. I believe this was booked via my employer's travel desk. Let me state here that I have no complaints about the hotel.
I did not realize that my booking was done through a third party until I checked out. When I tried to check out one day early, I did so at the hotel desk. The hotel could not issue me a receipt. They also could not cancel the third day. They said that had to be done with Hotel Plus.
So I called Hotels Plus and was told I could NOT cancel the third day, because I did not do it 72 hours in advance. I told them I did not know I would be done with my business trip 1 day early and that it was impossible to predict these things. It didn't matter, though, the arrogant "manager" quickly reminded me that his was all my fault for not reading the fine print.
He told me it was very wrong of me to ask him to break his own rules. I asked him if this was how he treated all his new customers. I was supposed to call their 800 number. How was I supposed to know there would be a problem? I told him I would blast his complany and complain to DAYS INN to not deal with this scam. That did not faze him in the least, since he has my money.
Now that I have read their Plan Policy, I find it highly convoluted and confusing. Even if I had cancelled, I would have been charged either 9% or $25. I am still waiting for the receipt. I will never deal with HOTEL PLUS again. They are totally dishonest, unscupulous, and unworthy of any further business from anyone. ALWAYS book your stay directly with the hotel itself. Thank You.
