So I decided on Watters & Watters bridesmaid dress 8514.  I live in Illinois so the next logical step is to find out what bridal salons offer ths designer, style, and color.  House of Brides comes up in a Google search, I am from Chicagoland area so I have been seeing House of Brides brick and mortar stores in the area every since I can remember.  Must be a reputable establishment I am thinking, so just like any other online purchase this should be a piece of cake.  

Well it has not been, my maid of honor ordered her dress February 3, 2013 and I ordered the same exact dress for my daugther 2 days earlier on Jan 31, 2013.  I then received an email from House of Brides on February 12 indicating that my order has been confirmed by the manufacturer with an anticipated ship day to House of Brides "beg May".  

Today is May 12, 2013, I will be boarding a 5:30am flight on May 15, 2013 off to my destination wedding location which gives me 2 days now to receive the dress.  

My bestfriend and I have repetitiously contacted House of Brides @ 1-605-271-1016 for the past 2 weeks.  What you get on the other end of the phone is basically a warm body, after I provide my order number I can here the customer service rep on the other end probably hitting the return button to get through pages of comments of our previous calls.

When I ask for a ship date from the supplier they don't have one, when I asked for tracking information they don't have any, to get you off the phone they tell you here is an escalation number.  When you call that number it will ring a few times but wait you are then fowarded to a voicemail box to leave a message.  My bestfriend left plenty of messages and no one ever returns her call.  

I did get through to someone last Friday at the escalation number provided, Marlene is who I spoke to and she said she would call me back.  She actually did call me back only to lie and say she contacted the supplier who will overnight to House of Brides and then House of Brides will overnight to me.  "You should have it by Tuesday, May 14, 2013" she said.  Well I just called back again today and the customer service rep Paul had no knowledge of this and he said I do not have a ship date here yet!  

I am so pissed off because weddings are supposed to be one of the best experiences of a persons life.  They have ruined my wedding in more ways then one.  First off, I requested a color swatch and so the groomsmen were to wear vest and tie coordinated with the color of this dress.  I have to spend additional money and time now to go out and find something last minute off the rack at a department store for bridesmaid dresses.  

But I shall not waiver House of Brides, I am expecting a refund...
