Household Finance/HFC/HSBC Household Finance continues to rip off my family Aurora Colorado

I have been having problems with HFC since 2001. After seven years of constantly battling, the fight continues. It took me three years to get the interest rate on my mortgage disclosed to me in writing. This was after HFC changed the rate and the payment without my knowledge or permission. It was only after testifying at a joint Senate-House hearing at the capitol that I was finally able to get my interest rate in writing. This is astounding! It is my right and the right of any person entering into a financial agreement to know the terms of the agreement. If HFC is willing to deny their borrowers their basic rights, what else are they willing to do?

I've been disturbed to read some of the rebuttals written by HFC employees. While I whole-heartedly agree that they should be able to respond to the accusations at the same time, you've got to be kidding me! All you have to do is google HFC and you'll find out what kind of company you're working for. If it were just one or two people who were complaining I could see how you'd be inclined to side with HFC. But we are talking about hundreds of thousands of people who are all experiencing the same problems. They were also sued in 2002 by Attorney Generals in all fifty states! There can be no denying that HFC has at the very least, a poor and unethical lending history.

While it's true that some people are losing their homes because they simply couldn't afford them in the first place, this is not always the case. I have paid on my mortgage faithfully , every month and I have the receipts to prove it. Why then am I receiving calls every month telling me I'm a month behind? When I contact my branch and speak with the manager, he tells me that I am current on my mortgage. Just the fact that the HFC branches are not in sync with their own customer service is absolutely ridiculous!

The bottom line is , this company is horrible! I'm not saying the employees are all bad (even though that's been my experience) I'm saying this company is predatory and ruthless. But now it's time to do something about it.

Everyone who is having problems with HFC need to contact their state attorney general. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!! I cannot stress this enough! Send any letters by registered mail or they will "mysteriously" never reach HFC. Document every phone call, who called, their name, what was said. HFC is also currently being investigated for "losing" over 25,000 recorded phone calls between them and their customers. Contact your local ACORN office. Complain to the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission. When you've done all of that, contact every consumer reporter in your area.

It won't be long before there is another lawsuit or HFC just dissolves completely. This company should not be allowed to operate in the United States.
