How Pathetic! We received a call from the "Housing Retention Group, also known as NLA. They made us believe that we were able to get our home mortgage modified and our payments lowered. What a SCAM!! Not only do they NOT do that, they ask for money upfront. They do not modify mortgages. They say its all in processing, they have managers that "cut and paste" electronic signatures and try to tell us we signed it! Oh brother! Then they make you believe that since you signed it you owe the thousands of dollars that they said it would cost in order to modify our home. NOT TRUE. Housing modifications are FREE. They get done every day for FREE at any bank. NLA is a rip off-
