Arrived at the Howard Johnson Hotel on Friday, June 13, 2014 about 2:30pm for a biker event. I've been on other events with the club and have been fortunate to stay at some ok establishments. This location is a flop house. (33 N Center Street Stockton, Ca) Although the room provides an ironing board, microwave, bathroom, Queensize bed, and tv it did not provide towels. The room smelled as if the person or persons just left with knats flying into the light provided. We stayed on the third floor.
Reservations had been made and a request for a ground room. The room made you itch. The parking lot needed sweeping. I fell asleep about 10pm and woke up about 4:30am itching. Don't know if we had bugs crawling on us or not. Is this a shelter? A strong aroma of "reefer" no I don't smoke or use other drugs. One night stay is all I can handle. I hope I can find towels. Never again. I remembered when the name Howard Johnson signified quality but not this place. And another thing the name and address of the hotel was taped to the phone.
