I have contacted Direcway and told them that I'm not satisfied with thier service or equipment. Every time they "switch" me to the cancellation dept I'm disconnected! Let me think. Is that convenient or what?
There is no direct number to the cancellation dept. The people I did talk to in customer service ( yea right ) are trying to get me to pay a $300.00 cancellation fee, plus $400.00 for the equipment until they get ti back.
The other problem is I never agreed to buy this equipment. I asked for a $59.99 a month service and when my bank statment came in I see I'm charged $99.00 + tax! They tell me I'm charged an extra $40.00 a month to buy the equipment. I did not agree to that!
I have had two case numbers for the same issue and when I call no one knows anything. When the satillite was installed the guy splintered the wood on the roof by not drilling first, just forcing the anchor screws through. I tried to cancel this service the same day I found out that they were charging me more than I agreed to, and they would not because when I got my statement it was like a day or two over the 30 day limit they set to change your mind.
And now they want to stick me with this garbage for 15 months at $103.00 a month and I own this garbage at the end? I don't think so! I contacted the BBB right away but I don't think they are going to help at all, I don't trust them not to take a pay off!
If I have to cancel my bank account and refuse to pay then I will. I would rather they just come get this garbage, be happy with the money they got me for already and be happy with that. I need a way out of this that's no fault!
