We live in the country and had dial up service but we needed faster service for because my wife was doing online school. We signed up for satellite service because we had DirectWay before and it worked OK. My old system wouldn't work with the new one so we had to purchase a new system and they would not give us a credit for the old one. They installed it and tested it with a down load at 680 kb.
Well, it must have been loaded on the satellite because if you try to surf you always get "waiting", waiting for the site to come up. Sometimes it takes 5 to 10 minutes for a site to come up and that's not a joke unlike this service. Repeated calls to their customer service which is in India, and they only want you to give them a good review, which they repeat more times that they want to help you. I have been told that I have exceeded my down load and I find that hard to believe since I can barely get to a site. I will say that if you get a large down load it will come through fairly fast some times but other times I have been down to .8k and waiting. The highest I have seen is 131k, which is acceptable but not what they advertise.
As far as customer service I just stopped calling because you just get fed up with waiting and then spend 2 hr. with no help, and the language is hard to understand. Almost everytime, they tell you "that is all they can do".
tried their online help with instant messaging and I get a response but I wait for the site to come up to respond and they keep coming back with "are you there? and by the time I get to the site to respond I have 3 are 4 "Are you there?" responses but I have been timed out. Now that's frustrating! When their online help gets timed out. I have tried to get their online to email me but I have never got anyone to email me back. That is poor customer service. If you go to their site, you cannot find an email address to contact them. That should be a sign not to use this company for anything, especially the Internet!!!!
AVOID at ALL COST!!! They are just a rip-off!!
