We have had this "service" (I lose the term lightly) for over one year and after repeted calls to an almost non-English speaking customer service team (in India), we have also pulled the plug and are ready to fight this company. I have documented all calls dating back to February, 2006.

In our final attempt to correct our inadequate/intermittent internet access, we emailed Hughesnet for help, advising that we were unable to work with the telephone customer service due to the communication barrier, and that we would be cancelling if we did not receive a response.

We never did receive a response from our two emails sent last April. We give up! We've had inconsistent access, and we could only access the internet on one of our computers. Let's not even talk about if there was a cloud in the sky! Rain? Forget about it!! After over 10 hours dedicated to this company, we have given up.

Originally, we were scared into staying with them because they threatened us with cancellation fees, etc., but for $102 a month and inconsistent internet access, we had to draw the line. Their customer service can be described as nothing less than a nightmare. Hangups, rudeness, trouble understanding English, you name it. How are they still operating???
