Our story is much like everyone elses. We were contacted by "our" toner supplier some months ago letting us know that the price had gone up on our Lanier toner. Since they failed to call us at the time of the increase, they would offer us toner now at the old price if we would buy 2 cartons.

We are a small business and don't go through toner very fast. So, I asked if we could just buy one. Oh, no, they would not be able to honor the lower price if I just bought one, but they would be willing to hold the shipment for a month. We went ahead and ordered the toner because we were needing it anyway.

We got our shipment and are using the toner. When it came time for them to ship the next one, I was hesitant as I had a feeling something was wrong because of their extensive calling. These people called sometimes 5 times an hour. They wanted to confirm the order, then, they faxed a order confirmation over to me which I just did not have time to do. They even tried to get one of the other girls in the office to send it back without my permission!

After a couple of days, I received another call from Kenneth at Progressive Office Products. He was so rude and asked if I even knew where the confirmation was. He told me he would stop calling me if I would send over the confirmation. I told him if I sent it, he really had no reason to call me anymore.

Well, he sent over another confirmation after I had left for the day. This morning when I came in, that suspicious feeling still was nagging me. I went on the internet and found your site, plus many other complaints. Just after I found all of this out, Kenneth called me and asked me if I received the confirmation, and when was I sending it back.

I told him that after finding out that they had an F rating with the BBB and all of the complaints I found, I would not be returning the confirmation. He said that he would write down that "I had been notified".
Whatever that means. More like, he had been notified! Anyway, beware.
They were charging me about 10 times the going rate on the internet for the amount of the toner. We paid with a check, so we are in no danger of credit card fraud, thank goodness.
We will see what happens. I hope that these guys get the justice that they deserve. Totally scandalous.
