Paying $3,000 for $15 worth of software
AUTHOR: Etwana - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, March 01, 2005
"...it makes sense to then extend credit even to B credits, because the marginal expense of taking that credit risk is about $15 in software and documentation, discs and documentation versus the $500 down payment we get."
The 'down payment' is 33x Imergent's cost for the software!!
This downpayment usually represents 20% down. Then customers must 'finance' the balance at 18%. Finance what?, you may ask. Exactly. You're financing air. You've already paid for the software and documentation (or lack thereof) 33x over.
So to summarize, if you put $500 down on a Storesonline package costing $3000 and finance the rest over two years at 18%, you'll end up paying for the software 253 times.
And they include lunch and a business organizer! What a deal!!
