IPA-ITA consultant made appointment for one service but came in to do a service I was not ready for Ripoff Buffalo Grove Illinois
My Company was ripped off by IPA this week. Last Friday(6/22/07)a senior area manager Dick came in and discussed our business income, cash flow etc , he said he would have an analyst come in and analize our came and show us how to manager everything from cash flow, taxes, employee area on getting the job done in a more productive way, etc.
We agreeded to it and they sent in James, a senior business analyst, who was here two days(6/25 and 6/26) approx 5 hours each day. He convienced us to have a senior project manager come in the next day (6/27/07). This person was suppose to come in and do up "The Plan" for our business and show us how to turn a profit gauranteed by 12 months, this profit would be in excess of $120,000. by following The Plan, the rate would be 245.00 hour
On 6/27/07 James showed up with Dennis and Tracy, we all sat down and they explained that they were going to start with our estate planning, liability,taxes, etc first as that was the most important issue, I told all 3 of them that I did not agreed to do the taxes at this time, but they continued to keep taking and explaining why it needed to be done, so for 30 minutes or so we listened and gave Tracy my financial papers and what she needed. The myself, my husband and Dennis sat down and he started to talk to us about our business and then he said they would need a check for 30% of the $15,000.00 fee for the taxes, etc that Tracy was working on. I immediately became very defensive, and said nothing was said about paying that today that part, only the $245/hr for him, he said , I will not be charging you today, we will only charge you for Tracy toady. At that point I told him that they were liars and deceitful and to get the HE.. out! Anyway they did leave and I called the Ill. office and talked to Rich, if that is his real name and told him they whole thing was a scam and that I do not want to charged for today as they did not come and do what they said they were going to do, this guy was VERY unprofessional ten minutes after we hung up Dennis showed up with 2 invoices, one for Tracy for $3983.00 and one for Dennis for $2000.00. They were here 2 hours, most of the time just friendly talking, then Tracy spent the rest of her time making 123 copies of my financials on my copier w/o my permission...so she used my information, my copier, my paper and charged me $3983.I have placed a stop payment on the first check of $950.00...reason...I was scammed. I have 2 invoices which I will not pay. And I faxed them an invoice for my copies, soda and water they asked for and an hourly rate of $245 for me and my husband's time. Please be aware of this company, do not listen to them, do not pay them, it is just a scam and they are ripping of the small businesses
