ITT Technical Institute, specifically the Lexington, Ky campus, but especially the entire school, is a for-profit, scam of a school where they sucker people into attending but then do nothing to help them find tangible, gainful employment. ITT Tech is apparently run by a bunch of greedy profiteers, out to fill up their pockets, rather than concern themselves with successful graduates such as myself. I attended the school for four years, earned my Associates and Bachelor's Degrees, and now what do I have to show for it? A mountain of debt and no way to pay any of it back. The school hardly has any career fairs, and has only three people working in career services! This is outrageous! What do they pay them for? Plus, the school is not accredited anywhere, so one would have to start from scratch if they want to further their education, because ITT credits won't transfer anywhere. I have been very disillusioned and feel scammed. I went to ITT because I wanted to get a degree in my chosen field and further my education but all I have to show for it now is student loan debt and no job. I graduated 7 months ago, and have no reasonable prospects for a decent, good paying job in my field. I am totally angry and in a desperate financial situation. Student Loan companies are harassing me daily, as if calling me will make money I don't have magically appear. I attended ITT because I simply wanted a shot at a better life, and a chance at a good career. There needs to be investigations into this school's practices. They lump all the students in together, and pass even failing students who shouldn't even be in college to begin with. Their standards are terrible. But my main complaint is the school's total disregard for graduates and helping them to find reasonable job leads, instead of just sending out token emails of menial jobs which don't even require college degrees! If I wanted a menial minimum wage job, I wouldn't have even attended college!! Someone please look into this school and its practices, especially the Lexington, Ky campus. Many of the student body there are very disruptive and don't take school seriously. This school should be investigated and severely reformed!! Don't go here, unless you want to be in debt for the rest of your life! Because a degree from ITT Tech apparently won't get you any decent type of employment.

ITT Tech degrees are worthless.

Unfortunately you have a worthless degree. The credits don't transfer and employers don't consider ITT Tech to be a "real college". You will find a job that only requires a high school diploma. ITT Tech career services will send you job ads from Craigslist that you can find yourself all of which will be of a "throw away" variety paying minimum wage.
Even worse is that ITT Tech will consider working at Walmart Loss Prevention for $8 an hour as "criminal justice" employment or that working as a cashier for $8 an hour is "IT employment".
The admission representatives are laid off if they don't meet their quota and the bell is rung in the office when a sale is closed. The salespeople are told to "Get them student loan dollars", "Get them student loan dollars".
ITT Tech instructors are paid a flat $1500 per course which works out to about $9 an hour. The average tenure of an ITT Tech instructor is under a year. Many ITT Tech instructors give up in the middle of a course.
