A science instructor at ITT Technical Institute in Youngstown Ohio is a very ignorant instructor. I left early on day and missed two classes due to legitimate reasons. When I confronted him about the quiz I missed I got told, "I don't know what to tell you, you missed that class and you cannot make it up. The very first day of that class the instructor went over the syllabus for that class. The instructor did state that in-class assignments could not be made up if you missed that class but nothing about tests. In class today I watched and heard him tell other classmates who missed class they could watch a couple videos and write a summary on them to make up for the in-class assignments that they missed. Not only that the day I left early he shoved my work at me and told me with an attitude, "You can't make in class assignments up and it will take you a lot of classes to make that grade up". A couple quarters back my mom had him and she gave him a bad review because he is not a good instructor. That is telling me he is out for revenge which is not fair. I did go to the person in charge because it was a saturday class and limited people are staffed that day. The person left in charge was the school schedular who told me that she could not make the instructor change his attitude. Now if I was working somewhere and I got an attitude with a customer and the customer complained, I would have been written up or reprimanded in some fashion. Recruiters for the school will sell their soul to the devil to get you in and it is all about the money. Now this does not apply to every person at that institute, some people actually do care. They will tell you that the classes are flexible and everyone will have one saturday morning class to take, I have had about five saturday morning classes, and the schedules are not flexible. We have a library on campus and come saturday morning no one is there to run the library, so I have to run around and find people to open a lab for me. No stapler or provisions to get my work fully completed in a lab. That is why the library is there and guess what, it is not open saturday mornings when it should be. Part of our tuition goes to the library that I have not be able to access for two saturday mornings now.
