Complaint Description:
I called Ican at 800-530-4226 and was asked if I had any health issues, then was told briefly about 2 different health plans that may work for me and their $25 application fee. I asked if I could get the plan details in writing before making a decision and the agent told me that there was no difference between him telling me about the plans or having them in writing. I told him I disagreed and that I wanted to view the details in writing. The agent argued with me, insisting that there was no difference. When I attempted to explain the difference, he interrupted and yelled into the phone that there was no difference. I could not even ask or explain why I wanted to see the options in writing, he just cut me off over and over. I then asked for a supervisor. He put me on "fake hold", whistled into the phone for a few seconds, then pretended to be a supervisor. He claimed he would review the call and take action and offered to transfer me to a different agent. I was transferred to someone that set the phone down, and never picked up. I gave up at that point. This is the worst customer service I have ever ran into. I have been in customer service and technical support for 15 years and have never been treated this way. I would like to add that I think this company is a sham. They are just a middleman for other insurance companies and they charge customers just for them to look for an insurance company for you. Also, they falsely advertise that "just for calling" they will give you a Humana Prescription drug discount card. This is not the case.

I hope other people have a better experience than mine. It's very frustrating and just not right that companies like Ican continue to be in business.
