I am writing this for my blind 30 year old daughter. She went to Immediadent in Lexington, Kentucky due to having pain in her tooth. She was transported there from Richmond, Kentucky by LKLP (a transport service for the disabled). She was told she needed a root canal in this tooth. She gave them the okay and go ahead to complete the root canal. During the root canal, the dentist broke off a piece of metal equipment in her tooth and could not retrieve it himself, so he referred her to an endodontist to have this piece of metal removed. I was not aware that this was the reason she needed to see the endodontist. They scheduled the appointment with the endodontist. They could not see her that day, but saw her a week later. All this time, she was in excrutiating pain from this tooth. When we arrived at the endodontist and she had the piece of metal removed was the first time I was made aware she had been in all this pain due to having this piece of metal in her tooth and her root canal could not be completed by Immediadent. The endodontist also completed her root canal. The endodontist charged her 950.00 for this appointment to have the metal removed. They would not even see her until they received the 950.00. I then called Immediadent to let them know I expected them to pay the 950.00 I was charged on my credit card for this appointment. They then told me they were not responsible for this bill and Heather still owed care credit approximately 800.00 to 900.00 for the work they completed. I treid to explain that Heather was being charged for a crown that she had not received. They did not even complete the root canal matter alone the crown that Heather had already been charged for. I tried to explain this to them that I was out 1700.00 and some dollars. They offered to reimburse care credit the amount for the crown (800.00) but refused to reimburse the endodontist fee. Finally, they agreed (after multiple phone calls to Ally in the corporate office) that they would reimburse the 800 and some dollars to care credit and send Heather a check for 118.00 to cover the 950.00 charge but they would not call it reimbursing for the endodontist fee. They had to ensure they paid care credit the money they charged Heather for a crown that they did not place. They did also agree to giving Heather a free crown. But, actually, she had already paid in advance for the crown they gave her. We just went in Saturday, September 7, 2013, for the crown to be placed. They would not see her without me present. They had her and me sign all kinds of paperwork stating we understood what was being completed on her today, etc. The dentist and assistant were nice and completed the work without incident. When I went to the front to check-out, Lana Cadzow, was there and asking questions about what crown needed to be placed. I was standing there and was going to clarify that the crown had been placed today, when she rudely interrupted me and stated "she was not talking to me, she was talking with the dental assistant". Upon walking out with Heather, I looked back and stated, "You could be a little nicer". She then raised her voice and told me I could be a little nicer. She also stated that Ally knew we were here today. At that time, I really had forgotten who Ally was. I told her I had been very nice considering the care Heather had received and the dentist breaking a piece of metal off in her tooth. I got Heather to the car and went back in to get her name. She then got up and walked back through the clinic stopping at everyone she saw stating "She wants my name". She then brought me back a card that stated her name as Lana Cadzow, Area Manager Kentuckiana. I then repeated her name apparently mispronouncing it and she stated "If that is how you want to say it". I felt very humiliated, especially with all this being said in public in front on a whole waiting room full of people. This behavior out of Immediadent staff was uncalled for. I know I called numerous times trying to get Heather's treatment and money that she was suppose to receive and Immediadent should have willingly given, but to be treated like this is wrong.
