I had recieved a call from this company saying I won a free cruise. I was very excited and actually thought i legitimately won. The lead in by talking about all the "free" stuff and then at the end of the announcement i was told that i needed to put a deposit on the cruise portion because that part was not free. They said it had a value of $800 but they were going to discount it and sell it to me for $395. After I do this, all i would have to do is pay for the port tax and gratuity. He never mentioned that i would have to pay the second ticket in full. He made it sound as if the only thing left to pay was the port tax and never allowed the conversation to return to the second ticket. He would not let me off the phone because i would lose the deal and i could not call back. I was afraid they were not a legitimate company, so i looked them up online while they were on the phone and it looked genuine. This was a very naive move. I trusted them and paid the $400 with credit card. Next they made me listen to this recording that was monotone and fast and it "sounded" like a typical terms and conditions and i accepted it over the phone. 18 months later, i still have not used the tickets. They called me and harrassed me to pay up front for the other ticket before they send me to collections and forfeit the whole vacation package. I asked if i could call them back, but they would not let me, they said if i hang up, they will forfeit my vacation and send me to collections for the second ticket which was almost $900. My wife grabbed the phone and went crazy on the operator and they eventually granted me a 6 month extension. They said that I have no way out, i must pay them. They said I am legally bound to pay them the second ticket one way or another. I asked them to provide me with the terms and conditions that stipulate paying the second ticket for almost $900 because it was not in any of the literature in the package they sent me when i first bought it. They said that the credit card company has the audio receipt and not them. They said they could not send me those terms because they did not have it. They told me to call my credit card company to get those terms and conditions in the audio receipt.
