I, like others it seems, was ripped off by Nick from In Sports. I was lucky in some ways though. I only lost a little over 200 bucks and that was only because that was all that was available on my credit card at that time. Like all the other stories, I am exactly the same. I looked on Careerbuilder.com, saw a listing for a work from home that sounded good and I applied. I didn't know I would have to pay anything! I got a call saying I was hired. I was happy. Then I heard how much I would have to pay. The first price I was told was almost two grand for like thousands of fliers (the fliers were nice), and he acted shocked that I didn't just have that laying around. I told him what I could afford then he said he'd send about 1000 fliers, I counted and it was only about 800. I distributed the fliers and even checked out the stupid site, encouraging my friends to join so I could get a cut of the money they spent to join. I have only contacted Nick once since getting rid of the fliers. I asked when I would be paid. He told me that I had to have made enough to cover the cost of the fliers since he sent more than what I paid for. I said fine since I was sure I had enough people to have signed up. He even sent a sheet in the mail to inform me of the SIX people who signed up using my name. That is the last I have heard from him. I waited my six months and never got my money back. As sad as it sounds, I just didn't feel like going through the hassle with this guy. I want to warn others, but I know I would have to spend more time and money to punish him than what I am actually out. I just want to make sure no one else ever has to deal with him again. I hope he gambles his money away and ends up living in a gutter.
