Last year, my husband was staying at the intown suites location at Northside Drive in Atlanta GA. He stayed for a total of three weeks, paying for his room in cash, on time, and received no complaints from other residents/patrons or staff. However, after three weeks there, a mysterious letter from the corporate office was sent apparently listing him as one of the tenants who could no longer stay at that location, and was not permitted to renew his weekly stay.
Undaunted by this setback, my husband located another place to stay in another part of town.
However, due to the distance from that location to the job he has held for nearly two years, he decided to relocate to the Intown Suites on Piedmont Circle in the Atlanta area. This location was immensely more suitable for him, and he stayed there for several weeks before taking a two week haitus to visit with me.
He then returned to that location and stayed two more weeks, paying on time, in cash, and never receiving any complaints from anyone. As a matter of fact, when making a payment at one point, the security guard present mentioned that my husband was "quiet....and does not bother anyone. We don't get any complaints about him".
During his most recent attempt to renew his suite on Saturday July 5, he was again informed by the front office that the "corporate office" would not let him continue to stay there, and he had until 7 pm that day to remove all his belongings from the room.
For both of these incidents, no explanation was given to my husband by staff. His questions to them were met with answers that they did not know any more than him and were just following the instructions given.
Since my husband is gainfully employed with a stable company, has been a consistently paying customer and cooperative resident, these requests that he no longer stay there are biased and unprofessional. I feel that my husband and I are entitled to a clear, reasonable, and detailed explanation for why these refusals have occurred.
I am surprised after reading so many posts about how this establishment has so many tactics to elicit funds from others, that they would actually refuse business from someone they could count on as a reliable and longterm source of revenue.
Thank God I live in Atlanta. I know where the corporate office is, and if necessary I will sit myself there until answers are forthcoming from a live person, or I am arrested.

NOT ALL OF THE LOCATIONS ARE THIS BAD
AUTHOR: Gwyneth - (USA)

The In Town Suite facility in which I reside has a few problems, but nothing that I have not experienced living in so called 'luxury' apartments.
I came back into the United States after an extended time abroad and this hotel was the first place I landed. I had already conceived the plan and knew what to expect. I was a bit taken aback initially because the studio is indeed a bit plain and on the depressing side. However, over the almost year and a half of residing here, paying on a monthly basis, I have fine tuned the studio and it is very attractive now. The manager here is THE BEST and I have had no problems with her. The Regional Manager is a bit strict but now that they know my character they are very good to me. Unfortunately they lost an outstanding maintenance person recently .
I am happy for the 'prison rules' so many others complain about. There is no way I want to hear people in the parking lot on their cell phones or lounging in their cars with their radios blasting. The closed-blinds rule also protects you, the resident, from weirdos staring in. Ergo, they run a tight ship here in that yes, people are not allowed to loiter and cause commotions. For that I am grateful.
I fixed the studio up greatly with their approval and I would not be ashamed to have anyone as a guest. I clean it myself and declined their maid service because I am a perfectionist. This location has quite a few long term residents. I don't have to hassle with paying an internet fee, land line fee, utilities fee, and cable TV fees. It is all inclusive and I am single and don't need the hassle of a mailbox full of bills.
The studio is around 500 square feet. There have been noise problems from adjoining rooms from time to time, but I have experienced strange odors, hostile neighbors, commotions, stalking by odd men, car break-ins, etc., when I lived in 'luxury' apartment complexes! The only way to escape all of this is to sequester yourself in a gated, affluent community that has a security patrol 24/7!
The manager here and the security man have responded to and handled all of my complaints timely, as well as the maintenance person. I am treated with respect and dignity. I keep to myself as I do anywhere, and watch what is going on around me very carefully. They have never ripped me off for a dime.
The location is Steubner-Airline in Houston, Texas. If you need a place to stay that is all-inclusive in price and do not want the hassles of a leased rental, you will be fine here. If you indicate that you will be long-term, they will shampoo your carpets, and give you a new kitchen floor and bed if it is determined that what you have is worn out. They are always receiving furniture shipments. The location is not gorgeous but it is very convenient. This has nothing to do with the report I am rebutting...just an overall commentary that this location does not seem to fit the mold of the terrible stories I see online.
