Choose to use Intuit as my first quickbooks credit card processing company, as a naive business owner looking to make my life just a little bit easier by not having to record my transactions twice and being able to process cards while out in the field.

First things first, they charge you a monthly fee which varies on how integrated you want your payment solutions to be. Most other reputable companies that process cards do not charge a monthly fee. They make it in authorizations and the rate that is charged when they process the card.

They open the accounts with out signatures, but when you want to cancel the account they make it a pain in the ass and require that you write them a letter and fax it in. Failure to do so will result in them continuing to charge you your monthly fee plus a fee for not meeting their minimum. (40-60 per month).

Customer service is a joke, you call an 800 number and never talk to the same person, the stories are always something different.

Their rates are some of the highest in the business, and they qualify your cards so that you never get the lower rates. For most users that are processing using keyed entry or reoccurring billing you are paying much more then using a company like North American Bankcard who will give you keyed only rates.

They are a third party processor. This means that you see your items funded minus a estimated fee at first. Then at the end of your cycle you get another charge, sometimes two, when they actually find out what it cost them to process your charge. Not exactly small business friendly. Also, it means it takes longer to get your transactions funded.

Customer service rep didnt even care that I told her that I was going to let everyone know about their horrible business practices.

All in all the worst processor I have ever used. If you hate your competitors send them to Intuit.
