In April I did a background check on an individual with this Intelius company. That was all I asked for - one background check. They have been charging my credit card for May, June and July 19.95. When I called and asked what that was for, the foreign speaking person told me I signed up for their searches. I never did, I asked for one search only. He said I checked something on the left hand side of the paper - it must not be very clear if I checked it as there was no way I would have wanted anymore than the one background check. I told them today I wanted my $60.00 back. They refused - said they would pay $19.95 - my problem that I didn't notice the charge on my charge card. This company should be investigated by the FBI and I told the man that numerous time and told him what they are doing is fraudulent. I heard someone in the background of my call giving the same story so someone else got screwed and was trying to get out of it. This company should be shut down. Unfortunately, if you do a search for a person, somehow, they pop up. I don't know where else to go now to get these people investigated before they do this to more people. I am hoping the US Government reads these and sends the FBI after this Internet Fraud.
