SEO Reputation Management at its best!

You look up phone numbers and names on this site and any number you search for they find. They promise to find unpublished numbers and cell phones. Once you sign up and pay the fee the only numbers or names that work are published but all the info is wrong. Like it got my name from my published number but said I had like 13 sisters.

Avoid Intelius.

Sure enough...

AUTHOR: acsmith1972 - (United States of America)

Yesterday before I signed up they had a definite match for the number I entered. Well I just got this email:

Dear adam,

Our search specialists did their best, but were unable to complete the
Reverse Phone Report that you requested on 03/05/2013, order #69263306.

Your order has been canceled, and the total purchase amount has been refunded to your credit/debit card account.

So there you have it: they are incompetent and they trick you into signing up. There's nothing in their TOS that says they can't find private and unlisted numbers, just that they use public records. They should probably have that on their main page, but they don't, of course.

So if you're looking to get copies of information that's already easily found in places like Google and are just too lazy to do the search for you, these guys can do that. If you're looking for information that's truly private and unlisted not registered on any public domains then these guys are going to be completely useless.

You rely on public records?

AUTHOR: acsmith1972 - (United States of America)

That's funny considering your website says "Reverse phone search works for landline, unlisted & non-published numbers, and cell phone lookups."

So at what point would a consumer looking at your website think that finding unlisted and non-published numbers meant phone numbers that were part of public records? Where do you say that in your advertisement? I don't see anything saying you can only find those numbers if that person happened to register that number in a public database.

You're also not explaining why when you look up a number you find a definite result and then when you pay for the service suddenly the results for that number are gone. That's a blatant lie. If you can't find any information AFTER someone pays, how'd you manage to find the results before? You do that so people pay to get that information only to turn around and have nothing for them. I looked up unique numbers and the only time you found a result was with my own phone number and my parent's house number, which is published. Your service is useless.

Anyone searching for unpublished or unlisted numbers including cell phone numbers, like from telemarketers or bill collectors: you will NOT get any results using this service.
